ZA8606 Description
The ZA8606 is a non-isolation LED buck controller and integrated in SOT-23-6 package. It provides a simple circuit to get higher power
factor, higher efficiency and accuracy constant current; hence ZA8606 can meet LED lighting requirements and reduce the cost of LED power supply. The ZA8606 has a 45kHz fixed frequency oscillator, an internal 200mV precision reference, and a PWM comparator with latching logic. The accurate output LED current is achieved by an averaging current feedback loop and the LED current dimming can be easily controlled via the Dim pin.
The ZA8606 also has multiple features to protect the controller and system from fault conditions, including : Under Voltage Lockout (UVLO), Over Current Protection (OCP) and Over Voltage Protection (OVP). Additionally, to ensure the system reliability, the ZA8606 is built with the thermal protection function(OTP).

1 | VCC | When starting power, through the external starting resistance provides the starting current of Vcc capacitor charging, Vcc to UVLO on 18 v, IC and set to work, when the voltage is provided by Vcc capacitor temporarily, after the establishment of the LED string voltage until the output, and then through the Zener diode and super fast diode string voltage output leds to provide for the use of IC. If the VCC voltage is lower than the UVLO off under voltage when they stop working point 8 v current output circuit to reduce shut down. 3 | GATE | (drive Pin) ZA8606 is 45 KHZ frequency operation and maximum working cycle is about 90%, and the smallest working cycle time of 410 ns, can make the design of the transmission pressure has great range, in order to reduce EMI interference, IC internal vibrating frequency and soft drive function, the other GATE pin inside a 13.5 V clamping circuit, avoid too much damaged MOSFET GATE voltage signal. |
